I can't believe that another season of my favorite show is coming to an end. What a season. This years most infamous competitor, the one and only Santino Rice, makes Wendy Pepper look like a girl scout trying to aggressively sell cookies. He was a monster, a villain, and one hell of a fucking designer. He is truly the only one who sent pieces of art down the runway and defended himself fiercely come judgement time ( "I disagree NINA"). Santino's barbs and quips aside he really did do his thing and do it well. The reunion show, at the very least, made me feel like he really is humble and possibly even deserving.

Ever since Santino displayed the most arrogant of personalities on the show (episode 2) I have been routing for Daniel Vosovic. He is very talented and more than capable and he was also very human. No superego, no backstabs, and really great designs (hello Orchid piece) but then came the challenge after he got immunity and wow did he become an arrogant bastard too. There he fell out of my favor too.

Uncle Nick was always a favorite of mine from his beautiful way of handling himself in all situations positive and negative. When he does something well it's brilliant, but sadly when he doesn't it is abysmal. It was an amazingly sad farewell for him. I hope he continues to get calls from desperate housewives, movies stars, and maybe one day ME.

Chole Dao is just a genius. She can wrap a woman in leaves, literally, and make her look stunning. Her dedication was questioned but she is the most consistent as far as quality and handling a woman's many lines. She is an amazing person and having 7 sisters must have been some damn good coaching about a woman's body.

Just from the sneak peek he had some great stuff that almost bordered on demure. The dress with the sunflower pleats was amazing, wearable, and marketable. That's almost a first for Santino. He may surprise us all on Final Runway.

Daniel
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED??? Here he was young and brilliant and now I'm looking at that monstrosity of a figure 8 wood bag and I can't help to wonder WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO DANIEL? I was almost glad to hear Tim Gunn, or actually not hear his response to all of this. Here is a man with meticulous design details that he had to handle in about 24 hours and he has (from what I have seen so far) totally fucked up something he had 5 months to do. I don't know what is up with the horrible Achilles detail on his gowns but I don't find it attractive or appealing. Daniel, I hope by next week I see something a little better thought out and the he works out all of these crazy details. You may have won a lot of challenges but this is where your career can be made.

Chloe
I love that she doesn't do sketches and let's things happen organically but in this arena or arenas I think that a little bit more preparedness may have helped her out. Just from what I saw last week her items seem almost like individual pieces not so much a collection. But she always comes through so I have faith in her. I don't know what made her pick Diana as her partner because Diana's strength is technological fashion and I think that there were others who could have helped her more. (Santino was so right with Andrae and no one picked Kara because she cried more than Andrae on the runway.) But nonetheless, I really think that she has this innate ability to pull things out and hopefully she does because I would really like a Chloe Dao dress one of these days.
